As part of our Time4Families campaign, we have launched the search for Sefton’s Family Heroes – those people who help families spend quality time together.
We want to recognise and celebrate grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbours and family friends who help parents and guardians to spend more positive time with their children. They may do this in lots of ways such as by giving lifts, lending a hand around the house or making sure a meal’s on the table when the family gets in. Maybe they offer emotional support.
Do YOU have a Family Hero? If so, please send us following information no later than July 12, 2010:
Details of the person you are nominating as a Family Hero:
- Name, daytime telephone number, email and postal addresses and details of relation to person nominating (e.g. brother).

- Name, daytime telephone number, email and postal addresses and your role in the family (e.g. mother, father).
Tell us about what might make this person a Family Hero:
- Does your Family Hero do things to build positive family relationships for the child or children?
- Does your Family Hero do things that help the child or children spend time with his or her family or do they take pressure off in other ways so the family can spend time together? How do they do that?
- What things get in the way of the family spending time together? How does your Family Hero help overcome that?
- What else can you say about your Family Hero?
- Please submit anything else to support your nomination (such as pictures, stories or examples).
